Our team has spent the past 15 years surveying across the rugged terrain of Northern Vancouver Island and brings our experience and expertise to your project.  We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service -we will work with you to understand your surveying needs and requirements and find the most efficient way to complete your project. 

We combine precise conventional and GNSS observations from our Leica equipment to complete your project in a timely manner.  We also have the ability to integrate 3D scans and controlled aerial images into the data to capture every detail.  We specialize in surveys with logistical challenges and look for creative solutions. 

When surveys are required by statue law or local bylaws we will work diligently to make sure you understand the process and keep you updated through the projects.

Based in the Comox Valley we are centrally located to offer services from Parksville to the West Coast of Vancouver Island, to the North Island and everywhere in between.

Every project we undertake will be personally supervised by a BC Land Surveyor – we take our oath to be “present at and personally superintend” seriously.

Justin Petras has over 18 years’ experience in the land surveying and geomatics industry, and received his commission as a BC Land Surveyor in 2018.

He started his career in northern BC surveying for many engineering related projects and small subdivisions.  While attending BCIT he was part of the survey team responsible for the high precision layout and deformation monitoring of the Canada Line Rapid Transit project.

He has worked on and overseen and managed survey crews on a wide range of projects from large scale construction projects including multi building strata’s to precise offshore pile layout for ferry terminals to unground tunneling for hydro penstocks.  He has overseen and coordinated the survey crews for legal surveys ranging from a 655 ha lease and 40km long transmission line on northern Vancouver island to natural boundary and accretion applications to simple two lot subdivisions.
